Amy Sloan, RN, MSN, CPNP

Amy moved from Kansas City to take care of the pediatric population here in Joplin. She now lives in beautiful Carl Junction. It’s a change of pace for Amy, but she’s really enjoying it!  Amy grew up in a small town south of St. Louis and moved to Kansas City for college where she received her Bachelor’s in Nursing from Rockhurst University. In 2021, Amy went back to school and received her Master of Science in Nursing as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner from Vanderbilt University.  Almost all of Amy’s nursing career was in the NICU at Children’s Mercy. Babies are so resilient and hold such a special place in Amy’s heart, she chose to become a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. Amy wanted to help patients and parents in a different way and watch them grow over their lifetime. Amy spends her free time with her Goldendoodle, Wilson. Amy is also a dedicated Kansas City Royals fan, and her favorite holiday is the 4th of July as she loves the huge firework displays. Amy looks forward to finding all the fun that southwest Missouri has to offer and states “Each family is unique and has their own story and I am privileged to be a part of yours.”
